Fallout iv GOTY, dlc Non on DISC!
Just an FYI, Bethesda made information technology extra special with this edition. THERE IS NO DLC ON DISC in game of the year edition of Fallout iv for Xbox one or ps4
No notice of this anywhere on box and product descriptions.
Don't think I'll buy or preorder anything Bethesda until there are multiple confirmations from now on. Meliorate yet, skip them all together with their shady practices.

would it even fit on a single disc? its a massive game from what i remember when i downloaded those DLC files.

Whether it fits or not is non an issue. What is the outcome is that there is no notice of this on box, anywhere.
What is the point of GOTY edition on disk, when dlc is not on disk? You might every bit well buy all digital or buy regular disk copy plus digital dlc.

Then another update. Called eb to figure out merchandise in value. Here is the response :
"game trades in at same value as regular Fallout 4 ($9), and we currently practise not accept whatsoever Fallout four trade ins."
Thank y'all EB games for knowingly selling this turd and pretending like nil happened. Eb does not disappoint)
Edit: went to store where I preordered, employee was super nice and allowed me to exchange for another preorder. +ane for eb employee.

If you want GOTY Fallout 4, merely get regular edition for cheap and purchase digital season pass. Or just get everything digital.
Bethesdas shady practices are only inexcusable anymore.

Information technology costs pennies for them to print a 2nd disc with DLC on it.... they should have but made a 2nd disc.

There have been other Complete or Game of the Year Editions that are just the base original game packaged with a separate DLC lawmaking to manually download the DLC content..
Dragon Historic period Inquisition Game of the Yr Edition and other EA Games like Star Wars Battlefront Ultimate Edition are only some of them
(original vanilla game with a DLC voucher).
To know what you lot are getting, read either customer reviews or if you need that data before the game releases.
GameFAQs.com has bulletin boards for specific games and usually that is one of the questions that comes up for Game of the Twelvemonth, Ultimate or Complete Editions.
"Game of the Year Edition" is a term that is loosely thrown out there.

You are right in many respects. Nevertheless, prior to this all Bethesda GOTY editions of Fallout came with dlc on disc. In addition, there weren't many reviews on launch twenty-four hour period. So information technology is understandable why someone may blindly buy their GOTY edition and look the same experience as before.
Granted due diligence is must with games, peculiarly EA and now Bethesda. Going forwards, I would not buy anything from them unless it is 100% confirmed. This thread was merely to warn others who may still trust Bethesda and Fallout GOTY editions.

Usually there is someone unboxing the game early on youtube besides.
I find GameFAQs.com good for answering questions on whether all the content is included on the disc directly.
Someone there asked the same question over half dozen days ago. Frequently there are people that get a game sold early to them before release date.

I don't think information technology's as like shooting fish in a barrel equally that. Unremarkably DLC however requires the core components of the game. This means the DLC would demand to install off the 2nd disc while y'all all the same utilise the 1st disc to play. If you could install the DLC off the 2nd disc, I call up information technology would accept copy protection issues. They'd either demand permit you install it, give you lot a psn lawmaking to actuate it, and and so the disc would really only exist once use anyways. If they didn't practice that, and so yous could pass around the disc and everyone could get the DLC for costless. So either style it's difficult to do so the game has a resale value as GOTY. It all depends on the game though. Some games take upward less space than others. It's the ones where a bluray isn't big enough to hold all the data where it becomes an effect.

You got what you paid for.... They simply fabricated information technology more user-friendly by providing access to downloads rather than a 2d disc that you would demand to install.

1. No find on box
2. All previous editions came with dlc on disc
If Bethesda was honest, they'd mention this.

I could pull out my PS1 correct now and have 100% experience but if I determine to play this 20 years later the digital contents might not be in that location. PSN may still exist around but if Bethesda decides to pull it off the store they can.
There is also no resell value just similar Destiny 1 Complete Collection.
